The boy was approached by a man in a black BMW but he felt something wasn’t right.

His ride was a bit late when the BMW pulled up to him.

The boy told the driver that he was lying and started running away.

When he looked back, the car was following him.

The frightened boy ran into the schoolyard and entered the offices.

He didn’t find anyone there but left the school through another exit.

By this time, his ride was waiting for him and the BMW had disappeared.

According to the boy, the car had no number plate.

She said other parents must teach their children how to react in such situations.

Captain Gay Ebrahim confirmed that an attempted kidnapping case had been opened at Mountain Rise police station.

The serious and violent crime unit is investigating the matter.

The police asked anyone who spots the suspicious car to reach out to the police.

She urges children to never walk alone and be very careful.

Three people were arrested on suspicion of trafficking.

They will be appearing in Cape Town courts this week.
