There were rumours circulating that she committed suicide but her father, businessman Moses Tembe, disputed them.

He denied that the incident had been intentional on her part.
Nota also shared that he believes her death was accidental.
The funeral service took place on Friday, 16 April at the Durban Convention Centre.
