While Mzansi social media users were divided over his innocence, other big names likeMbuyiseni Ndlozishowed their support.
Dr Tumi has since released a statement about the events and chose to give away nothing.
The couple handed themselves over to the authorities on Tuesday.

The couple has been released on bail of R3 000 each.
The applications were approved and this resulted in R1.5 million being transferred into a private bank account.
Dr Tumi has been charged with fraud, along with his wife Kgaogelo Makweya.
