A man has taken to Twitter to celebrate his adopted girl as she joins university.
According to Gitonga, the young girl was abandoned at four years and stayed at a children’s home.
Not legally adopted
Gitonga, however, clarified that he has not legally adopted the girl.

She was only 16 years old at the time.
This was when Gikang’ah and her husband decided to adopt a child.
After informing both sides of the family about the decision, Gikang’ah and her husband approached an adoption agency.
