The teacher is reportedly 47 years old and was assaulted on Monday, 3 May.
Its been alleged that she was stabbed by her boyfriend, a 64-year-old teacher from Tolamo Primary School.
TheEducationDepartment said the school was under construction and students were temporarily moved to a nearby community hall.

Education Department Spokesperson Elias Malindi stated that the perpetrator forcefully entered the hall.
TimesLIVEreported that the perpetrator outside where an argument ensued.
Malindi stated that the staff at the school were able to call the police after catching the perpetrator.

He added that the teacher is in critical condition.
Myburg referred to the culprit as being the victim’s boyfriend.
The two lost their lives in a helicopter crash next to the Umgeni River inDurbanon Monday, 3 May.
