The UN added that it is concerned about the insurgency, which it believes is still evolving.

Militants from Al-Shabaab have wrestled control of the control of Palma in the Cabo Delgado province from thegovernment.

Palma was transformed into a warzone as an estimated100 jihadist fighters assaulted the town.
