The fire started sometime on Sunday afternoon and soon spread down from Devil’s Peak.

The fire grew exponentially and with hours it is now threatening the University of Cape Town.
400 patients were evacuated following the blaze, 270 patients are still in the hospital awaiting their evacuation.
