Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize launched the Electronic Vaccination Data System (EVDS) at 7am.
The launch of the second phase of the vaccine programme will reportedly run from 17 May.
That being said, the recovery rate is 95% with over 21 000 cases active in SA.

Dr Mkhize confirmed that the country has secured 51 million doses of the expected 42 million.
Reports say that the incidents surfaced between six and 13 days after the women received the vaccination.

The ladies were aged between 18 and 48 years old.
